I have been busy, and one of my new years resolutions is to only be on the computer a maximum of 1 hour....
I have some confusion about a point, and thought I would ask the experts on here.
I know Addy came out in like 92 or 93. But there's a listing one ebay that says that an Addy doll has a dress that is tagged 1986 West Germany.... I was assuming that when a dress or doll is tagged with a date, that was the year it was produced, eg: a tagged in 1986 Molly, was produced in the lot that year that was produced. Their next batch would be labeled, 1991. Am I under the wrong assumption? Because I was assuming that the date on the tags would help you identify the year they were produced. BUT if the seller was right about Addy's dress being tagged such, then that scenerio wouldn't apply.
I hope that I made myself clear. I am looking to eventually buy a premattel Molly and Samantha, but want then to be from the ealry days of Mattel. Beacuse if clothes that were manufactered in 1995 were labeled 1986, then that would cause me some trouble. I hope I am making sense. Thanks for your help.
Hope that everybody is having a Great New Year, and enjoying their dollies!
